Bedside Cot Reviews

A bedside crib (also known as a bassinet) is located close to your bed so you can be able to provide care to your baby during night feeds and diaper changes without getting out of bed. They are also great for building independence as your child gets more comfortable in their own space to sleep.

The Joie Roomie Glide

The Joie Roomie Glide is a bedside crib that lets parents sleep with their infant while ensuring they're sleeping safely. Its smooth glide can help ease your baby's sleep, and its innovative features allow you to keep an eye on your child without leaving bed.

The cot's sliding side panel can be raised and lowered with the push of a button, making it simple to reach in and soothe a baby at night. It comes with 11 height adjustments that can be adjusted to fit almost any mattress size and adjustable folding feet to ensure that it's at the right level.

The cot is padded, has mesh sides to increase ventilation, and its mattress is made from high-density foam for extra protection. It's also washable to keep it clean, and it comes with a fitted sheet that's suitable for use with the cot.

Contrary to other cribs that are bedside, the Roomie Glide is suitable for most beds, including divans due to its straps and clip attachment. It can also be used as a standalone crib when not attached to your bed, and it's packed with amazing features that are created with the bonding of parents and children in mind.

It is essential to keep in mind that this crib will not last as long once your baby turns six months. You will need to purchase a larger crib. However, overall Roanna felt that the Joie Roomie Glide was a very good purchase and she especially liked its sleek design.

John Lewis sells the Roomie Glide for PS160. Roanna thought this was a fair price for a cot. She liked how it was positioned in her bedroom and thought its grey color would fit the majority of modern homes. She also mentioned that it's not an ideal idea to rock a baby in the early years because it could create a bad sleep pattern for later.

The Tutti Bambini CoZee

The Tutti Bambini CoZee bedside crib is designed to ensure a good night's rest. It has a drop side rail which can be easily removed for feedings at night without having to disturb your baby or get out of bed - it's ideal for mothers who are breastfeeding! It is also lightweight and easy to move around during nap time or when traveling.

We love that it's made from soft materials with breathable mesh sides that promote airflow and comfort. It comes in charcoal or oak with a range of melange fabrics that can be incorporated with most decor styles. Anna found it to be solid and secure when it was attached to her bed. The legs snapped into place and the zippers were secured for security. It took Anna about 10 minutes to put it together and didn't require any tools. There are clear instructions as well as a video, and a customer support number if you encounter any issues.

In addition to the standard features you'd expect from a bedside crib, like being able to be connected to your existing bed with a stay-in-place connection system and six height levels The CoZee comes with an additional incline option which can be used to help ease reflux or congestion in babies. It is also machine-washable essential for all the spills, vomit, and snot that come with a newborn baby!

If you're looking to keep your baby close to you during the first six months as they're learning to sleep independently, the CoZee is a great option because it can be used as a separate cot, changing table or toddler bed. With the addition of a sofa-bed extension kit, it can be converted into an actual bed. Although it can't magically make your baby sleep or feed them, it will rock the baby and take them to school.

The Chicco Next2Me Magic

This is one of the more expensive alternatives. However, it comes with numerous great features. It can be used either a side-sleeper or a standalone crib and is suitable for infants ranging from birth to six months. It's easy to open and close the side panel with the new mechanism. It's also more flexible than its predecessor, having 11 different height settings and legs that retract to place under any bed.

Our testers loved the ease of access offered by the side panel that can be moved up and down with one click of a switch. This was particularly useful at night, as they could reach inside and pick up their baby without disturbing them up.

The side panel can be lowered by itself however, it's not advised as it increases the risk of your child falling out of the cot. The patented safety locking system ensures that the side panel will remain in place when it is connected correctly to the parent's mattress. This is an excellent feature to have in place for peace of mind, particularly when you're breastfeeding and need frequent night feeds.

The Chicco Next2Me Magic is designed to be compatible with any bed that is divan-based as well as beds with drawers due to the legs that can be telescopic. It has a tilting feature for babies with reflux, as well as the ability to rock to calm them after eating. It is also very spacious and has excellent ventilation due to its mesh sides.

The Next2Me Magic was easy to use and set up for our testers, despite the lengthy instruction manual. It's a bit heavier than other side-sleepers but it's easily moved from one area to another. It's small enough to fit in a travel bag when not in use, which is a bonus when you have to transport it. The only issue our testers found is that the side panel didn't move as much as other models. This caused it to be a bit more difficult to see the baby from your bed.

The Shnuggle Air

If you're in search of an ideal bedside crib that can expand with your child then the Shnuggle Air is definitely worth a look. Designed to be a co-sleeping bassinet that will attach securely to your bed but also convert into a stylish cot when your baby is ready.  small bedside cot  for feeding your baby at night and growing your bond with your infant.

The mesh side panels with dual-view as well as the airflow mattress that is hypoallergenic and breathable maximize airflow and keep your baby cool and comfortable. The gentle slope can help ease reflux and colic. The zip-down side allows you to feed your baby, or even comfort them at night.

The kit for converting cots is also well designed, with clear instructions. It comes with everything you need. It took us about an hour to assemble, and was reasonably straightforward. The only issue with the instructions was that a few images were not captioned. This made it difficult to follow the instructions. Overall, it was a simple procedure and the quality of materials used was high.

In the co-sleeping mode, we discovered the Shnuggle Air to be an excellent option for breastfeeding mothers and women who have had a C-section since it allows them to easily reach out to their infant to feed and comfort them without having to climb out of their bed. It's great for parents who don't want to deal with the stress of putting their child in a traditional cot or getting out of it.

In our tests we observed the gliding motion of the next-to-me crib to be particularly beneficial in helping babies fall asleep after feedings at midday and in the evening. The drop-down sides make it easy to feed or soothe babies throughout the night. This was a major selling point for our tired test mums. Although it doesn't rock, or have extra features like a sound system, the Joie Roomie Glide's sleek design and functionality are a welcome addition to our top bedside crib reviews.
