It is essential to keep in mind that this crib will not last as long once your baby turns six months. You will need to purchase a larger crib. However, overall Roanna felt that the Joie Roomie Glide was a very good purchase and she especially liked its sleek design.
John Lewis sells the Roomie Glide for PS160. Roanna thought this was a fair price for a cot. She liked how it was positioned in her bedroom and thought its grey color would fit the majority of modern homes. She also mentioned that it's not an ideal idea to rock a baby in the early years because it could create a bad sleep pattern for later.
The Tutti Bambini CoZee
The Tutti Bambini CoZee bedside crib is designed to ensure a good night's rest. It has a drop side rail which can be easily removed for feedings at night without having to disturb your baby or get out of bed - it's ideal for mothers who are breastfeeding! It is also lightweight and easy to move around during nap time or when traveling.
We love that it's made from soft materials with breathable mesh sides that promote airflow and comfort. It comes in charcoal or oak with a range of melange fabrics that can be incorporated with most decor styles. Anna found it to be solid and secure when it was attached to her bed. The legs snapped into place and the zippers were secured for security. It took Anna about 10 minutes to put it together and didn't require any tools. There are clear instructions as well as a video, and a customer support number if you encounter any issues.
In addition to the standard features you'd expect from a bedside crib, like being able to be connected to your existing bed with a stay-in-place connection system and six height levels The CoZee comes with an additional incline option which can be used to help ease reflux or congestion in babies. It is also machine-washable essential for all the spills, vomit, and snot that come with a newborn baby!
If you're looking to keep your baby close to you during the first six months as they're learning to sleep independently, the CoZee is a great option because it can be used as a separate cot, changing table or toddler bed. This is one of the more expensive alternatives. However, it comes with numerous great features. It can be used either a side-sleeper or a standalone crib and is suitable for infants ranging from birth to six months. It's easy to open and close the side panel with the new mechanism. It's also more flexible than its predecessor, having 11 different height settings and legs that retract to place under any bed.
Our testers loved the ease of access offered by the side panel that can be moved up and down with one click of a switch. This was particularly useful at night, as they could reach inside and pick up their baby without disturbing them up.
The side panel can be lowered by itself however, it's not advised as it increases the risk of your child falling out of the cot. The patented safety locking system ensures that the side panel will remain in place when it is connected correctly to the parent's mattress. This is an excellent feature to have in place for peace of mind, particularly when you're breastfeeding and need frequent night feeds.
The Chicco Next2Me Magic is designed to be compatible with any bed that is divan-based as well as beds with drawers due to the legs that can be telescopic. It has a tilting feature for babies with reflux, as well as the ability to rock to calm them after eating. It is also very spacious and has excellent ventilation due to its mesh sides.
The Next2Me Magic was easy to use and set up for our testers, despite the lengthy instruction manual. It's a bit heavier than other side-sleepers but it's easily moved from one area to another. It's small enough to fit in a travel bag when not in use, which is a bonus when you have to transport it. The only issue our testers found is that the side panel didn't move as much as other models. In our tests we observed the gliding motion of the next-to-me crib to be particularly beneficial in helping babies fall asleep after feedings at midday and in the evening. The drop-down sides make it easy to feed or soothe babies throughout the night. This was a major selling point for our tired test mums. Although it doesn't rock, or have extra features like a sound system, the Joie Roomie Glide's sleek design and functionality are a welcome addition to our top bedside crib reviews.
